The eco fanatic, Frieder, is supposed to take over the butcher shop. However as a vegetarian he doesn’t feel apt for this business at all. He rather dreams of a future as an apple breeder by the side of the lovely greengrover Linda. In the end he asphyxiates after swallowing an apple seed. That’s how he escapes his fade in a highly tradical way.
